Dr Hussain Nasser Al Rahma

Associate Professor Dr. Hussain Al Rahma has over  30 years of experience in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine and is a Chief Medical Officer in the United Arab Emirates Dr Hussain education and training have spread over diverse countries including UAE, Pakistan, England, and Germany. He is an Emirati by origin, highly successful in building trust with his patients through his interpersonal skills and by actively listening to their needs, allowing him to provide ideal patient outcomes. Additionally, he addresses various patients with a broad spectrum of critical conditions through a multi-disciplinary approach, providing everyone with superior care. Dr Hussain held various leadership positions in prominent medical establishments within UAE including Head of Emergency and Critical Care Department in Rashid Hospital, Head of the Department ICU at Dubai Hospital, Head of Disaster Field Team Dubai Disaster Management Committee and Founder President of Emirates Intensive Care Society. In 2004, Dr Hussain founded the Emirates Critical Care Conference (ECCC) which has subsequently grown and developed to become a benchmark for critical care conferences around the globe. In September 2025, Dr Al Rahma was elected to serve as Secretary General from 2025 to 2027 and will be a member of the WFICC Executive Committee.
